The student of CSTE went in a study tour. The tour started from 25th February and ended on 27th February. During the tour the CSTE members visited Radar station.

The freshers reception of the session 2007-2008 held 30th August. There was a warm reception session arranged by the students of CSTE department. A cultural programs along with some other relevant session .And also IT magazine “CSTE@MAIL” was inaugurated by Dr.Humyun Kabir. The Vice Chancellor of NSTU Professor Dr.Shanjay Kumar Adikhikary  was the chief guest .And special guest was the Territory Executive of City Cell Mr.Aowlad Hossain. Teachers of the CSTE department were also present in the ceremony. In the starting of the program teachers gave their valuable speech for the juniors. The chief guest said”CSTE departments new batch will enlighten the department and also keep the promise for building the nation”. The head of CSTE department Dr.Humyun Kabir said “It is a prestigious issue for being the member of CSTE department; new student should make the highest use of being the member of CSTE family by using their creativity”. The ceremony was ended with a colorful cultural program.

 
In the 21st February, International Mother Language Day was observed by the     students of CSTE. In CSTE dept.  a film was arranged. The name of the movie was Jibon Thekeke Neya.Mr.Javed Hossain,Asst. Professor of CSTE dept. was present in the program. He said this kind of film show is must for the capacity building of students.

The students of CSTE arranged an Orientation program for the students of 2nd batch. The teachers were the guest of the program. Dr. Humyun Kabir said "The new batch student will prepare themselves as the leaders of tomorrows world". After the speech giving part of the ceremony, A short cultural program was conducted by the students.
