Abstract:
Abstract: It is a national project of Japan. Development of CO2 Emission Reduction and Effective Utilization Technologies- Development of CO2 Utilization Technology for Liquid Fuel/Research and Development on Next-Generation FT Reaction and Integrated Liquid Synthetic Fuel Production Process. Output: (i) A patent JP2024-131737A, (sept. 2024) Title: Hydrocarbon compound production catalyst. (Under bench test) Keynote: Hydrogenation of CO/CO2 to hydrocarbons, especially synthetic fuels (CH4, LPG, city gas, gasoline, diesel, aviation fuels), with selectivity controlled by changing conditions. (ii) A research article (Kutubi et al. 2025), ACS Catalysis 2025, vol 15(13) with supplementary cover feature. (iii) Conference papers (international/domestic) and invited/keynote speeches were presented. (iv) More patents and article manuscripts are going to be written for submission.
Abstract: (i) Industrially Manufacturing Method Development of Monomer Synthesis: Development combined catalytic system of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts for vinylic monomer or alkene manufacturing in industrial scale (tons/day) revealing multiple recycling of by- products. (ii) Development of different routes of addition reactions, esterification, trans-esterification, amination, redox reactions, hydroamidation, dehydration of alcohols etc. acrylamide monomers manufacturing. Output: (i) Internal industrial patent (Know-How): KH3001 on successive recyclable catalyst development of continuous production process for mesityl oxide manufacturing revealing 80-85% waste reduction regarding conventional processes. (ii) Development of industrial synthetic method for acrylamide monomers (implemented for 2000 mt./year manufacturing) under recycling of byproducts and this explored 80-85% reduction of industrial wastes. (iii) Another new method was developed for new acrylamide monomer manufacturing where Ti-systems were found to be active for such special monomer synthesis compared to other metallic systems.
Abstract: Application of Bimetallic Nanoparticles to Organic Synthesis: Development of unsupported Pd-Ru/PVP alloyed solid solution nanoparticle–catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction and cascade-type reaction: oxidation of alcohols and C–H activated C–C coupling reaction in liquid phase organic synthesis concerning the remedy of metal leaching and greener, environmentally benign. Output: (i) Two patents ( one in domestic and internationally in different PCT countries with royalty (implemented). It explores the solution in the minimization of the metal leaching regarding precious metal contamination with organic products. (ii) Articles and conference papers/proceedings have been published.
