About Dr. Mohammed Humayun Kabir

I have been awarded Ph.D. in Power System Engineering from the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Kitami Institute of Technology ( https://www.kitami-it.ac.jp/en/ ), Hokkaido, Japan in 2006. I received B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees in 1993 and 1995 respectively from the Department of Applied Physics and Electronics, the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I was a Lecturer and an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Information Technology, The University of Comilla (UNIC), Bangladesh. I am working as a Professor in Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Sonapur, Noakhali-3814. My research work was concerned about finding an acceptable procedure for ‘Transmission Loss Allocation’ in the deregulated power market. Now, I am working for finding solutions on several security issues in Computer Networks. The member of UMS-NSTU research collaboration.

Experiences and Activities

1). Implemented HEQEP (CP 445) at NSTU campus as Sub-Project Manager. Duration 1st January 2011 to 31st March 2013

2) Established Computer Network and Cyber Security laboratory in IIT, NSTU. It has been financed by the Ministry of ICT.

3). Consulting for the development of HRM software that will make easy the management of education and administration at NSTU.

4). Doing research on DDoS attack.

5) Doing research on image steganography, Text steganography.
