Welcome to the the office of Planning,Development & Works
Office of the Planning, Development and Works of Noakhali Science and Technology University is entrusted to formulate plans and its proper implementation for the overall development of the university under the direction of Vice-Chancellor. The office formulated a Master Plan for the University and following the Master plan other development plans are prepared from time to time for Government approval. Moreover, the office supports the university community in accomplishing its goals through decision making and policy formation. It also maintains a regular communication to University Grants Commission, IMED and Planning Commission concerned Ministries to acquire approvals and resources needed to implement the plans.
Mission and Vision
We have a vision this may be ambitious. DPD office is working very hard to achieve this ambition through running Project and the future Projects to come. Noakhali Science and Technology University under the dynamic leadership of Vice-Chancellor is moving ahead faster currently one Project entitled “Expansion of Physical and Academic Facilities of NSTU” is on acceleration. The implementation period of the Project is expected to be completed in June 2021. Besides, building of other physical infrastructure the biggest among the Universities of Bangladesh, a ten storied Academic cum lab building is being built faster which will be visible soon. Works of other infrastructures are also running faster which includes internal roads, water supply, sanitation, and drainage, installation of electrical substation and vertical extensions of some existing buildings. On completion of this project the University’s physical and Academic facilities will be enhanced. Another mega Project’s Development Project Proposal (DPP) has been prepared entitled “Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Institute of oceanography and Marine Resources Management”. This Project is yet to be approved by ECNEC. This Project will be based in both present University Campus and Subarnachar upazila. Once implemented the Project the whole Scenario of Noakhali will be changed.

As Director of Planning Development and Works I feel my profound satisfaction in achieving significant progress in implementing the activities timely. The Engineering section under DPDW office is playing vital role in building and maintaining infrastructures both Civil and Electrical. I am also hopeful that our collective commitment and concerted efforts would enable us to ensure sustainable development of the University.
