About Prof. Dr. Dibyadyuti Sarkar (ড. দিব্যদ্যুতি সরকার)

Dr. Dibyadyuti Sarkar is working at this university as a Professor of the Department of Bangladesh and Liberation War Studies. He is an eminent scholar in the field of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. He has done significant research works on Genocide, Crime Against Humanity, and Refugees (see publication tab).

Earlier, he has been a member of the Education Cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) since 2003.

Experiences and Activities


Dr. Dibyadyuti Sarkar is the first full-fledged chairman of the department of Bangladesh and Liberation War Studies (BLWS). He is the first Provost of Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Malek Ukil Hall, the third residential hall of this University. He also served as an Assistant Director of the Research Cell of NSTU and a member of the editorial board of the first research journal of NSTU.  

Dr. Sarkar has good command on Oral History, Research Methodology, ICT in Education & Research, Content Development, Training, and Public Speaking. He participated in many pieces of training and workshops. Among them, few selected are stated below:
